I always use Xerox Colotech+ and Premier, which should be good for this printer, but since they also have a star rating for inkjet, I suppose they are multi-purpose? To replace the fuser fan motor you need to remove the top printer cover. Unfortunately my 7700GX model does not have the "BALANCE COLORS" menu you mention. Now I get a section towards the bottom of the A4 page has doesn't print and right at the bottom of the page it prints but it blurred. Since the fuser is a mechanical object a fuser failure would be a consistant problem and never allow a page to go thru proper - unless it happens to be dropping
