This is frustating. When I do my changes cause the entry to disappear and sometimes the parent section. The end result is I am still unable to make changes or the entries disappear or the parent disappears. I've been having lots of problems lately with my system, one of which is that I cannot make any changes to the kde menu. I tried running kmenuedit in a terminal and when I saved this came up. Sorry can't really offer advice.
