Nothing can substitute for the manufacturer's diagnostic. I am using for three years and works fluently.But a little bit old drive. good that I got 3yr warranty. Burn the ISO file to a disk.

This drive turned out to be excellent quality. My evidence is that whenever I see a spike in write errors, my write speed decreases accordingly. That may account for the difference in behaviour when the drive is horizontally mounted. The hdds have always been laid flat during operation.
What is incompressible data? All times I have received a message saying it was successful.
