It only will burn in 2.4x to begin with, and when I try to select 1x it goes right back to 2.4 - using ImgBurn or Nero. I am using moserbaer media. The only speed available is 2X. have a peek at these guys BTW, the disc is 2x and ImgBurn burned it fine at 2x... I can't imagine why Nero can't do it... I will attach the log to the address you sugested. Thanks.

The rational behind this suggestion may be to attempt to "force" the drive to remap a sector which so far has only failed when read. (See the description in the table Right click that drop down box and a menu will appear - on it you'll see a 'Family Tree' option - click it.
